We have links to a 17 minute in house performance among many other things. Also, radio station WRCH registered to post information about Chris' interview in Hartford. So make sure you check it out!

We raised $1,604.72 (net total minus PayPal fees) for the Amanda Laptop effort. The total cost of the purchase of a laptop computer with Microsoft Office software, warranty coverage and other fixings came to a total of $1220.28. The balance remaining is $384.44, in which Amanda's mom Tammy was issued a check for today.

Word is that Tammy will be using the money to buy Amanda a printer to go with her laptop.

Once again, give yourselves a great round of applause for coming through for Amanda on such short notice. Chris Rich (The Richness), Elliott Yamin (E-Train), and Chris Sligh (The Fro Patro) have the BEST fans!!!!

A few of our members are having trouble getting to the forums, while others are getting right on. We've found if you clear your browsing history, cookies, temp files, etc. you should be able to get to the message boards with no problems. The Richness' very own Meames updated us on the purchase of the laptop:

“All Alone” Promo Contest

With Chris Richardson’s debut single “All Alone” hitting Amazon.com and iTunes, we need to spread the word to media outlets and radio stations. We are holding a graphic contest, the top 10 winning graphics will be featured on Chris’ MySpace and will also be used by Richness members and all individuals for "All Alone" promotional efforts.

Our dear Amanda Jones (see left and below) gathers her strength from her family and all the love that everyone has been showing her from around the globe through the Internet. She currently has a computer that is on its last legs and hasn't been doing quite so well lately. The Richness in collaboration with Etrain (Elliott Yamin's fanbase) has thought of giving her something back for being such an inspiration and for showing such courage by raising funds so that she may have a new laptop. This can be considered as a get well present for her.

The Edy's tour is alive and well. Chris has seven tour dates remaining including today's day #2 appearance in Seattle. In addition, Chris has been signing our very own calendars on the tour. What makes these calendars so special is that these pictures have been submitted by YOU, the fans! We only have eight (8) calendars left so make sure you grab yours today by sending $18 to finance@therichness.net. For Chris' birthday The Richness put together three seperate parts in hope's to get EVERYONE involved in his present.

Part One: Fan Sign Video
We asked for everyone to send in pictures holding birthday messages to Chris or just send in your pictures with Chris. And this was the end result:


Part Two: The Traveling Card
We thought a hand signed card was more sentimental than a list of printed names, so we sent a birthday card all across the United States for members to sign. It was started in VA and ended in VA. Thanks to firstmate for delivering the card to The DR for us!

Past Three: The BIG Gift
The Richness wanted to get something out of the ordinary, something Chris would look at years later and say "The Richness gave that to me" Everyone who donated to make this gift possible was named in a special birthday message attached to the gift, along with their email, city and state.

This is a one of a kind, Andy Warhol inspired peice of art.

We've experienced some technical problems on the site and in result we've lost all of our posted news in 2008! We are working on getting everything back up from this year, as well as the latest Dreyer's Promo Tour goodies so keep checking back

We've been mentioning this for a couple weeks now about helping others and giving back for the holidays, well the time has come.

The Richness is going to "sponser" a unit currently serving in Iraq. With the money we made from the raffle and small donations we can bring a smile to the men and women's faces who are fighting for our country. We will be sending care packages, letters, and Christmas/New Years items. Also, we will send ONE big card from The Richness. To get these things there before Christmas it will need to be mailed before December 4th.

*Letters should be of encouragement and support. Talk about things you would talk to your friends about. You can enclose a picture of yourself if you'd like.

The Unit we are sponsering was deployed from VA and arrived in Iraq October 2007. They are expected to leave Iraq January 2009. They are The 7th Signal Company XO in the US Army. It's 5 males and 2 females. The "leader" is 2LT Beverly Wendell, she is in charge of getting the packages and letters to the others. Not only are they missing/missed this holiday season with their families, they are missing next years as well. Some of these soldiers don't even have family to write them, so letters are really appreciated and lifts spirits for them. That is the only name provided so you can't personally address the others. Lets make a difference and lift the moral of this unit for the holidays.

Meames will be putting together the care packages since she has experience in sending the things. We are needing all the letters by DECEMBER 4TH, which is next Tuesday. A few words of encouragement does more than you can imagine for these folks. Also, if you have family members who would like to participate, by all means let them.

We need donations to pay for the items being sent. A few dollars can buy a tube of toothpaste, deodorant and other neccessities they are needing.

We really hope you will participate in this, a letter costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and a click of a mouse.
